Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, really good wine. We had short rib, scallops, beetroot risotto, truffle onion rings and chips. Really big portions, reasonably priced. Waiting staff was so lovely and attentive. Will definitely be back when visiting Eastbourne again.

We came in for lunch today and weren’t sure our booking had been saved when we booked online, but our amazing host Hannah couldn’t have been more lovely or accommodating. She found us a nice quiet table straight away and was so sweet with our little boy, bringing him colouring pencils and paper to keep him entertained. Hannah’s service throughout was incredible, she went above and beyond to ensure our time was amazing. So friendly, attentive, and just made everything feel relaxed and welcoming. As always, the crew roast was absolutely incredible ..hands down the best around!! We love Cru. The food and service are always top tier, and the cocktails are amazing too. Such a gem in Eastbourne, we’ll definitely keep coming back. The only complaint is we dream of the roast and cocktails for weeks after. Thanks so much Hannah and team, happy Easter - Mandy & Tom

No doubt that this is the best restaurant in the South East. Intimate dinning with top notch service from knowable crew. Second to non selection of wines and beer on tap. The seasonal menu is kept smaller and there for it's not overwhelming, I still found it hard to choose as everything sounded so good!. The chefs should be awarded and applauded, I struggle to find the words to express how good the food was so I suggest you just go and try it for yourself. This was my second vist to Cru and definitely won't be my last. I hope we can go back sooner rather than later. The restaurants location has convenient parking options and is within walking distance to other venues if you wish to carry on celebrating with a few more drinks. Very tasty sounding vegan option on the menu too.

Wow! This is the best roast I have ever had. The food, the service, the atmosphere, it was all top class. Sophie was absolutely amazing, attentive and informative and the chefs did an equally incredible job with our roast dinners. 100% worth the price and the journey.

I rarely give 5 stars. The scallops were easily 10 out of 10. Until now, I believed that I cooked the best onion rings...but these were better than mine. I have work to do. The rest of our meals were cooked to perfection. The only slight thing was that we were told the lamb would be pink...but it wasn't as pink as I prefer Worth driving 3 hours to get to and I will definitely return

November 2024 Outstanding Tomahawk steak with a customised mushroom sauce. Incredible crumbke to follow. Amazing service as always, a must if you are in the area and a scheduled regular booking if you live locally! May 2024 another amazing visit with superb food and service. Go for the Tomahawk and lobster if you are looking for something special. Jordan and the team have always made us feel super welcome here, and also squeezed us in when we've called on the day to get a booking. Food is incredible - the Tomahawk steak was enough for 3 of us to share. Go for the truffled onion rings and Tomahawk if you love steak. Drinks are fantastic with a great choice of cocktails and Mo'cktails. Beautifully refurbished in early 2023 so even more lovely with green leather booth seating. One of the best places to eat in Eastbourne.

Next level ! (Friday 29th) One of the most finest dishes I have had in some time, from start to finish of delightfulness. A wonderful welcome, beautiful service and treated like royalty. Compliments to all staff. The chorizo starter was full of flavour with a rich red wine sauce definitely will be coming for more. The scallops just melted in the mouth with a beautiful crumb for texture. Mains, burgers cooked to perfection each bite full of flavour leaving your mouth watering Steak spot on. And the lobster was just magical ! (Perfect infact!) Cocktails fabulous choices Even the selection of non alcohol beers where lovely. Atmosphere. Stunning and private setting with a elegants touch. Look forward to our return. Thank you for having us we had the best time.

Small venue to which you wouldn’t know is there, your greater by very friendly staff. It did feel you are on top of one another, let the food talk and it did, small menu but a very good balanced selection. The food was first class, in fact the best food I’ve had in Eastbourne. My only criticism, had to differentiate between dinners and staff.
